Timepiece Gentleman selling fake $60k Diamond AP...
Just caught it in the latest video and I see the watch is for sale on their website.
How does a fake watch make it that far?? How does it even make it past Andrew buying it? It's such a bad fake and I immediately spotted it when he held it up at 3:28 (youtube.com/watch?v=fWyyu-3oApU) - just look at that date. If that's not already clear enough, look at the movement  For sale now just $62k Screencap from video where Anthony just bought it.  Pictures from their online shop.   ???? ????? |

I'm sure it's just a typo where they meant to continue the aftermarket description.
Aftermarket movement...  Like the Greek ship Theseus philosophical question. How many times can you replace a piece and call it aftermarket until the watch is no longer the brand's watch? |

Calling parts aftermarket sounds a lot better than fake/counterfeit.
It's troubling how the watch marketplace and industry has just accepted that. Even Chrono24, Ebay, etc. allow counterfeit parts, as long as they just label it "aftermarket". One example could be "custom" dials where dial-makers print "Rolex". Any Diamond crusted dial where the maker again will print AP/Patek/Rolex on the dial (as on the dial in this example). As soon as you use a copyrighted trademark you no longer have an aftermarket part, you have an illegal counterfeit part. That these are then further openly sold without anyone batting an eye is astonishing. |

Also I don’t understand how their prices are incredibly higher than a reputable dealer like DavidSW who has the same 15407OR that’s arguably in a much better shape. TPG sells it for $10k more!

The watch was up for months, eventually I'm sure they sold it to someone with the logic of "yeah it's aftermarket but factory would cost twice or three times as much" .. they had actually said that earlier in an episode.
So most likely someone out there is running around with it. |
