Thank you all for the wisdom, insight and humor! I've been reading for years.
I'm one year in on my first Rolex. A 16570 tritium polar dial in great shape. So nice, that I keep it protected under my sleeve rather than bash it around in the caves and mountains. Really great watch! But... I think it is time to experience another rolex reference, and unfortunately I can't invest more without selling. I prefer to find a way to sell it for closer to market value rather than trade-in value. It appears I need a significant posting and sales history before I can sell? Or at least before someone would trust me... and vice versa? Any advice? Or links to the helpful threads? I'll try to dig into the research. Thanks again! |

Welcome to the forums! For selling, market value is an interesting subject. There are a lot of dealers who list the watch at a price, but that is not necessarily what they are sold for. Often, reaching out to one of our trusted sellers on here is the easiest because you 1) know they are vetted 2) trust that you will get paid and 3) you don't have to take the time to post pictures, negotiate deals, weed out tire kickers, etc.
Just my but either way, best of luck with the sale and welcome again! |

Good luck with selling and trading up,
please let us all know how you get on? I have decided to sell mine but don't feel safe in doing so online, so any advice is welcome, I have contacted the bigger dealers directly and they would sell my watch for £11,000 +++, but only offer me £7,000. so I'll wait and see as I'm not giving it away. . |
