Plenty different to coexist in my collection. They look and feel nothing like each other in person. It probably helps that I love integrated bracelets and the retro/Genta design clues.

Aaah thanks a lot for showing those photos side by side! In the photos shown I would lean towards the Chopard. I’ve tried that one on for a long time and loved it, but before I had only seen it on photos it didn’t convince me. That’s why I need to see the Laureato in real life I guess. Especially how that dial looks and the finishing of the case and bracelet. I heard it is amazing, but it doesn’t translate well on photos. The GP is more simple and the Chopard more complex in design it seems.

I had the blue dial Overseas and one of the annoying things was that the bezel got dirty and was difficult to clean in between the Maltese cross parts. The Laureato looks a bit similar in how it gets dirty, but it should be easier to clean.

If you had to choose, which one do you like / enjoy more? If you had to pick one to keep, which one would it be and why?

Agree with all you say.

If I had to pick one to keep? Tough, but Chopard. The GP is probably a better daily since it’s a simpler, more conventional design. But I’ve already got plenty of those, so the bolder Chopard wins.

Thanks a lot for your comments! Those really help, especially since there are no GP retailers in my country strange enough. Literally every brand has either a boutique or is at least sold by a major AD, but not GP. At least these videos give a bit of good feel of the luxury part of the watch.

I think the Chopard is “more special” than the Laureato looking at photos, videos and experiences of people who have handled them both. But nobody is really outspoken about liking one more than the other. Tough choice

Great shots, thanks for sharing. I like having under the radar watches and am considering selling an Overseas blue dial at the moment. These would make excellent replacements for me. Is the GP one of the limited editions (225 pieces I believe?)

Adding mine to this party! I think it’s really a bang for buck watch!

Does anyone have comparisons on the quality of the bracelet to a VC? Or an AP I’ve got a dual time now but the GO skeleton is really catching my eye. Unfortunately nobody close has one to try on so I’m kind off stuck. Even with the preowned discount the skeleton is a bit much to try sight unseen. That said I find it great and different enough from the AP to find it appealing.

THAT is stunning. I am not a Roman numeral fan or a blue dial fan but I think that could be my first.

Thank you -

A good friend just picked this up the other day. Really a great piece as well - not sure you can go wrong with either.

The Laureato is lovely. I'd love to see one of the Infinity or Eternity Ltd editions. Personally I find the Laureato a lot more intriguing and interesting than the Chopard Eagle.

The Laureato is certainly attractive and there is little that's not to like. But the design is also quite generic and doesn't scream come get me.

The Alpine Eagle is more interesting on many fronts including case, bracelet, and dial. Not a big fan of Romans generally but they work well here. I am not sure I could get used to the 04:30 date though.

In addition to those two I'd seriously consider the Octo Finissimo. A lot would depend on fit and comfort in the end.

The Octo is very very cool tried one on recently - just not 100% sold. It seemed to be more of a long sleeve shirt vs short sleeve type of watch.

It is amazing to me that the most beautiful (and not looking like any other) integrated bracelet watch is constantly forgotten and left out.
I must assume the 'Swiss' is very important to many here.
