Red sub: too clean?

This dial looks like it was produced recently, and the hands have very little sign of age. No service records included, but the acrylic was changed at some point.
Does this watch look correct? Dealer is reputable.

Thank you for any input.

Can you check it out in person? Who’s the dealer if you don’t mind me asking? Return policy? Guarantee?

Yes, they are local and I can view it in person, however, I was unsure of what signs of aging should be expected as I'm not a vintage collector. It caught my eye as a new inventory arrival for this dealer and wanted to know what considerations should be taken before seeing it in person.

I’m definitely not an expert. I like it, if the dealer is local then after someone chimes in then by all means go down, try it on and have a look at it in person. Bring a loupe, it never hurts.

The case has the earmarks of a genuine case. It has plenty of wear marks too.

The bezel insert appears to be an original Mark III.

The dial appears to be original. The hands appear to be original Rolex but are very, very nice without any observable corrosion or marks which make me believe they are later replacement tritium hands or later luminova or tritium hands that were relumed to match the dial.

Let's hear who the dealer is.

It would helped if you had gone down and brought a loupe.

Hard to find these with perfectly color matched hands and dials. My assumption is that they color matched it, but if they didn’t, this one was really good.

With work, 2 small kids and a working spouse, it's hard to break away. It's ok. I'll have money ready if I get a call from my AD, or the new AP boutique that just opened near me. They have my wishlist of a starting 5 already. But this would have been a real peach to hang on to for a while.

Bob's
They’ve got another red Sub listed.

Yes, not a full set though. They've been getting some good ones in lately, like a TT Daytona with a white arabic dial that didn't last very long. The two watches that caught my eye were both gone in a day.

Bob's

Yeah I saw the same one but the warranty certificate didn’t have the serial number and just said “1680.” Recognizing that’s not the end of the world, for those who highly value BP like me (and you apparently), Sort of a full set but the certificate was jacked and that’s the key and non replaceable part of BP. Plus looked like crown was wrong or replaced part.

I know very little in the vintage arena, and I'd rather miss out on a good deal to avoid the risk of making an uninformed purchase of a dud.

agree. Exactly my philosophy. That watch looked really good, certainly no dud as the dial was sick!, but wasn’t close enough at least in my book.
