Thoughts on these?

Thinking of one of the below. Any thoughts? Fairly priced?

I’d avoid both. First one is a mess. Second one is almost entirely replacement parts. Both overpriced.

Do your due diligence with any dealer. I received a watch from bob’s badly in need of service.

How do you avoid something like that though? Just by asking before hand? Did they take it back?

Yes, they did take it back. I should have asked beforehand if it had been checked on a timegrapher, and not just trusted the website description.
You just have to be very thorough... in most cases you have a few days to inspect and test the watch, so make sure you do.

Both hard pass terrible condition.

If you are in the US check some well know and reputable vintage dealers like Tropicalwatch or HQmilton

I’ve had good experiences with Bobs, but they don’t specialize in vintage. Find a dealer who understands these issues and is trust worthy. I would suggest Jacek tropical watch or HQ Milton, from both of which I have purchased watches and got educated by the seller at the same time about what to buy and what not to buy based on my own criteria.

I have had a very bad experience with bob's, as did MrChamfers above. But in my case bob's strung it out for a while with the back and forth, and then said "too late now." Sons of $^#@$*@!

I should have been less considerate and MORE demanding at the forefront. It doesn't pay to try to be nice with them; it will get you screwed.

Never again with that %^#$@* outfit.

And I learned a lot about people due to that fiasco.
