Trade 5164A for 5025R and Daytona C white dial

Please share your thought..

Honestly speaking 5025R black dial is one of my grail patek together with 5960P blue dial.. And who doesnt want daytona c white dial to be one of their collection?

I like both the Aquanaut and the Daytona. Even then I wouldn’t do the trade, simply because the 5164a is special and in rarer quantities. You are more likely to see a Daytona in public than an Aquanaut. On top of that, the 5164a has a really useful complication compared to the Chronograph (which is good to have but not really useful on a daily basis).

I mean if 5205 is a grail of yours, I would do the trade.

All 3 watches are great pieces. I love my 5205R. And as simple swap I think you get more value between the 5205R and Daytona.

However, I do prefer keeping the 5164A. Anyway you can trade something else to grab the 5205R? With the rumored discontinuation the 5205R is going to be harder and more expensive to add.

100% agreed. 5164a is my new daily, beautiful dial and comfort. Perfect function for me because I need to check a different time zone on an hourly basis. But I understand it can be as useless as a chronograph for others.

I personally wouldn't trade any PP for a Daytona. But 5205R is a beauty though, please keep us posted on your decision OP.

Its now officially discontinued. Unfortunately i dont have other watches that had the same value.

5164 is also one of my favorite watches. But I think by doing the swap, if you really regret it you can go back again without really hurting my wallets.

Im considering the trade just because of value wise, you win a lot by having 2 beautiful watches that origanally valued almost doubled than the aquanaut

I also like to wear 5164 as my daily watch (together with speedy and zenith a384) and for sure 5025R is not type of watch you wear daily as I work wearing t shirt and jeans. But if you do the trade, you can wear daytona as daily instead.

May I ask which specific Daytona model are you going for?

Op already said he wants a Daytona white dial in ceramic steel.

To me personally a Daytona panda is like an apple watch, it's everywhere and too many people are wearing it (well I should say a submariner is more like an apple watch..) . 5164A is alot more rarer and you will hardly bump into someone who's wearing the same watch

Trade is cancelled. The other owner backed down his offer. I guess he likes his 5205R and daytona c more than 5164A
