Reliability on ROO Diver

How reliable are the ROO divers? I mean any issues I should be concern about? Can the watch/movement take some abuse?

I saw this video on youtube which got me thinking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oN4TY7opDyo

I saw this video when it first came out. He has his experience with the watch which is legit. I only recall him stating the deployant was uncomfy. I was a bit unhappy with my 15710 diver. I assumed that AP regulated their movement or were cosc certified. As such it was -8 seconds per day. Anyway I got upset when one day I found it plus like 10 seconds after months of exactly -8. Anyway, it turned out it I magnetized it to change it from he minus to the plus. I sent it in, requested regulation of -2 to plus 2. It came back -1 and has been like that consistently. I wear it daily for everything but workouts and it's been perfect. So id say to buy what you like. I doubt the make a bad watch lol.

Thanks,
Everett

I love my ROO! It's not for everyone. I for one would love to have those buckle on my 44mm

I have the ceramic and it is a great watch, i wear it all the time, it is not super accurate as in 8-10 days i am about 40-50 sec off but i will see about that for the 5 year service, if you can get a FC or CE, they are really cool and were made in limited quantities, and comfort wise even the CE is amazing, the FC must be even more

Oh about the deployant digging in the bone had the same problem with my 5726 on strap, a small size strap solved, the problem and after it was fine, can't say for the AP deployant but it's true they are very nice, though I prefer less nice but more comfortable...

That video is painful to watch. He is not happy with the reliability of the box and finds deployants uncomfortable. Join the club buddy I admire that he uses the box lol

I love how someone can be that upset over a watch pillow.

You obviously have a different size watch pillow than the Guy in the youtube video.

So the black diver is a reliable watch? I'm really considering it.

I've had mine for two years and, worn everyday, runs to within +1 per day. If I don't wear it for a couple of days it gains about 5 spd, but that isn't an issue. It's a fabulous watch and very comfy on the rubber.

Remember these like most are adjusted to 5 positions. I've tried mine to see so if I don't wear it for a few days I leave in in a position wear it might gain or if it's slightly fast in a position to lose etc. when I had my panerai's, they provide paperwork with the rate in each position so I didn't even have to test it myself. Better still my planet ocean chronograph was the most accurate watch I ever had. I was plus 2 seconds per day over all and no matter what I did or how I left it, it was basically the same from day one until I sold it 2 years later and I wore it in rotation with my Panerai. Let's say once every 2 days. But they omega was my beater.

Yeah but i sleep with my watches so leaving it in a special position is not for me

Even better. My problem is I leave it in one spot over night. When I wear it its bang on -1 per day.

Thanks,

Yeah, I was disappointed with the -8 or plus 8(I forget which one). I didn't realize they weren't COSC certified. I was even skeptical when I asked for the regulation but APSC NA was awesome and very accommodating. You won't be diaappointed.

Thanks,

You are absoltely right. On all my ROOs the deployment is flipped (short strap on the 6 side, and long piece on the 12 side) and that fixed the problem instantly.

Besides the accuracy problem some have, are there any other issues with the 3120 movement? My understanding is that AP movements tend to be fragile.
