18K Red gold: 75% gold, 25% copper
18K Rose gold: 75% gold, 22.25% copper, 2.75% silver 18K Pink gold: 75% gold, 20% copper, 5% silver If the AP website says pink, I would trust it. Sam |

Maybe because of the discolouration issues with the rose gold?

I truly thought they were all inter-changeable names for anything other than yellow gold! (Well, and not of course white gold either!) But I've heard APs referred to by all terms, and almost equally: Red, Pink, Rose. Surely they don't make THREE versions of the 44 gold?! For instance, a Red, Pink, and Rose one. That would be ridiculous. This is strange! Off to do some pondering and researching. |

AP call it pink but most generally refer to it and other brands versions as RG.

Rose Gold is a generic term referring to all rose-gold coloured watches. Pink Gold is a more specific description.

I’d say the majority of people are ignorant of the gold's composition and therefore the terms are all used interchangeably, except when it comes to Rolex, when only Rolesor will do.

My guess would be that if AP calls their watches "pink gold" then I would hope that they know the difference between red, rose, and pink, and would use the proper term. Perhaps someone here has connections within AP that can clarify this for us. Sam |
