That's really interesting, you sold 5 watches for two! But I have to admit your new 2 watches are worth it! Congratulations I hope you wear them in good health.

Here's how I feel about this. If #2 is actually an option (keep them both and buy the AP with other funds), then to me there's no reason to rush into dumping both your Hublots. Hublot is by no means a brand I love, but you said it yourself, you stand to lose money on selling them.

If you can afford it, why not go with option 4, keep your favorite Hublot, outright buy the AP, and if in 6 months the Hublot is still not your cup of tea, sell it. Be patient and try to get your asking price!

Good luck.

I'd keep the SS/ceramic, that's the only Hublot model I really like, a lot.

I am not willing at this point to spend money on a watch (plus the wife is not very supportive of spending on another new watch!). I also am not planning on buying a used 15202 as it is my first AP and I want to live the experience... Plus from my quick search I don't think the difference between used and new is worth considering the used...

Few years ago I was a very big fan of Hublot, collected everything related to Hublot too. But back then I wasn't as educated in watches as I am now. Now, I do understand watches much more and I do appreciate what watchmaking is all about. Back then Hublot was a very cool watch for me. Now I am honestly bored of the watches and I noticed that their finishing isn't that great. I also didn't find that the watches are reliable in terms of the movement. I also decided that I need quality over quantity. I want to focus on top watches with history, etc...

I think the answer is clear, and I know what I want - the AP 15202. It has been my dream watch for a while, and I have been obsessing about it for ages. However, it is the first time I ever sell a watch let alone two, so this is why I am a bit worried and debating the idea of doing the move...

I look forward to hear more of your comments. Thank you very much again :)
Well I get the quality over quantity, but I really hope you got these 2 with a very good discount as with Hublot between retail price and used price you take a huge beating, I get the part where you can't put anymore money and have to sell both but to be honest I think the skeleton on the left is cool, it would make a nice pair with the AP, but if you are tired of the brand and don't wear them then yes sell, but look at second hand prices of these models, like you said you will loose quite a large amount of cash, anyways good luck

Thank you! Been some great games in the rivalry series!

Let me know next time you are in town and we can grab a beer. There are a few other watch guys/TRF memebers in town we can try to coordinate with as well.

Sounds good. Don't know the next time we will be in town. We are usually in Houston several times a year (just got back Wednesday in fact). But I will be sure to hit you up. Would love to hang with some members here.

What you are doing here is like getting into a pub in London and asking people if you should sell your jersey of the French National soccer team to buy the English one. You are asking AP lovers if you should sell watches from one of the brands they respect the least to buy 'the' watch they love the most ;)

In this case, I will side with the Brits and echo the 'sell' voice. I like the original Big Bangs, but the 15202 is of course in a different league.
