NEWBIE questions

New to AP

I really like ref 26400AU.OO.A002CA.01 - 44mm carbon

but i also like the safari 42mm ref 26470ST.OO.A801CR.01

would i be making a mistake going with the 42mm ? i just really like the brown - looks like a great daytime watch to pair with my platona...but, i dont want to regret not going 44mm....help

thanks!

44 but ceramic for me, plus you have anthracite and black dial choice, both nice but if you prefer FC your choice

What size is your wrist?

I think the FC would be a nice variety (not so much brown) option to the platona.

Though you also run the risk of the platona seeming small once you get used to the AP size.

I much prefer the 42mm models - but not that Safari.
Try them both on ;)

44mm all day. The thickness to width ratio is much better than the 42mm which sits really high.

Tried on the FC 44 recently and the lugs do hang over my wrists so is a no go. Will try the RG next, you never know.

try it on first. i know the 44 fits well on me and i sort of regret not going "big" in the first place, but it makes no sense if the larger model doesn't look on your wrist. FWIW, the dayton will feel TINY after wearing a 44.

With AP it is definitely worth a trip to try them on. I spent a day in LA recently and I think my next AP will be the Safari. It wasn't even on my radar when I went in but was far my favorite on my wrist. You just never know...

What he said LOL...happy hunting! I hope you get that watch that'll make you happy. That's the most important factor at the end of the day.

Both are great options!

44mm FC will give you a great summer watch...and a great pair with your platona!

Agree with everyone to try on a 44
Often fits better than you'd think

Ceramic is under the radar as material, nunscratchable and light, great for daily, RG is the opposite exactly
