I really like to new 15202IP. I wonder if it feels lighter on the wrist than the standard 15202ST, despite the platinum parts -titanium is lighter than steel.

pretty sure its lighter. Ive seen so many videos i cant keep them straight but one of them talked about how light it feels. It was probably the Hodinkee video.

Plus there isnt that much platinum on it vs how much is Ti.

The 15202ST is a pretty light watch to begin with. I've handled the Ti/PT 15403IP side by side with the SS 15400 and they were pretty much similar in weight according to my unscientific and uncalibrated hands. It's interesting how much the PT seems to counterbalance the Ti.

I think someone around here has weighed their 26331IP and it came in at a similar weight to the ST.

part of it might be the feel of the Ti. With my Ti 44 i didn't notice the weight as much as i could feel the lack of density. It almost felt hollow. It was more a mass thing vs weight compared to a SS 44. I liked it, but it felt different.

Never personally handled one of the Pt/Ti combos though so it may be different.

Tyler and Tom - I know what you mean regarding the lightness of the TI. That was actually my concern as well considering I liked more weight in my watches.

The TI links to me did feel 'hollow' so to speak, but the added weight of the PT in the bezel to me helped stabilize the watch overall on the wrist without making it top heavy.

Watches are finicky in that what one person feels on their wrist may be different from someone else but I wanted to at least give my 2 cents if they can help.

to me this watch runs into the same issue as the new version of the VC overseas with a blue dial. Its a dark and dynamic blue, but it runs into the purple color spectrum in some lighting conditions. The SS 15202 blue dial, while maybe less dynamic looking to some, stays blue.

I am actually more concerned with how easily the Pt bezel gets scratched up in a matter of days. Most of the SIHH pics are showing a badly scratched up bezel and I presume it is the same demo piece. This is making me think twice.

Yikes that PT bezel is already pretty scratched up!

I have to rethink this too... Especially as some around here know how I got my knickers in a knot over a tiny mark on my new 5164 recently.

I really like the new blue dial, much more vibrant than the Genta grey/blue, similar to the 5711A and P dials. As for the polished bezel, well this will have been handled by dozens of people and bloggers/journos and looks like without much care so this is inevitable. We would take much better care of this watch but there is no doubt it would mark up quickly, a quarterly cape cod touch up would be in order. The old 202 is also pretty beat up there, these 2 are now exhibition watches for sure.

The IP pops, making the ST rather dull and blend.

The scratches are pretty bad! That would drive me crazy...unless this not a good example since its a demo watch.

I don't think it comes pre-scratched out of the box. Hopefully not, at that price. I've heard of distressed jeans, but never watches.

Yeah. This is why I don’t online date. This lass photos well from some angle but doesn’t seem to look too good in person.
