2 days ago in London....

I had an apointment with my friend Khalid (patekcollector)
Always nice to see other collectors.
So we had to go to the Patek salon lol

Anyway, what do you think about these dome clocks?

It was nice to see but I think I prefer the enamel dome clocks
This one made in Baccarat crystal is even more expensive than the enamel clocks

It is a piece of art and very unique

I'm glad they showed me this piece in the Patek salon

While undoubtedly a quality piece I think they'd look good in Liberace's living room, maybe on his gold fireplace surround but unless you also have an abode devoid of good taste they're probably best left admired in the salon.

Cool clocks but too flashy for my liking.

Patek makes some cool clocks, but I agree that the enamel clocks are special.

Is the watch to the left a customized 5271P with Ruby on the bezel?

Not a customized, but a very limited run. They make a few in different saphires/rubies among others in blue and green.

Nice! I notice a number of the more prolific collectors have turned to Instagram as their primary WIS fix these days. I follow them, even though I can't stand IG's gratuitously small image format.

I agree, only registered 4 months or so ago on instagram
nice to check a few times but I HATE it you can't enlarge what you see
many of the details of wonderfull watches are lost because they are too small to see, you need to have a zoom in function
