Opinions wanted on this Day Date dial

This was in my store today, it's on a 18038 circa 1985. I've never seen this shade of blue before, and I didn't think they used this style of setting in that time period.

Thanks, after I posted it I noticed the diamonds next to the day window were hanging over top of it. That should have been obvious

To me the setting is more obvious.

That era diamond dial should have MIR setting.

Minute hand looks strange
Can you post a photo of back case (lugs) to authenticate watch?

I have no idea what either of you are questioning, hands are correct and watch is genuine. I was only curious about the dial.

It was a customers watch, that stopped in my store. I told them I didn't think the dial was genuine. I didn't take photos of the back because there was no need to, it was a genuine 18038.
