Excellent news! So do these go back to rolex for inspection and then get resent out into circulation to the same or another AD? Presumably the Jewlers insurance co already paid out and in that case the recovered items go to them? Wonder if they end up at auction later on....hmmmmm, the possibilities!?

Use to live in Seattle and visited many ADs. Felt safe shopping at the time, but I guess times have changed. Can't imagine the terror the staff felt, but glad they caught the SOBs. I think walking into a pawn shop with a $40k watch isn't too smart anyways. Cheers!

Yay! I was at that Ben Bridge before Christmas. I recall the Pepsi, and I tried on a gold YMII. The next week I went back and all the Rolex sports models were gone, and the smashed display case was covered.

I don't see the gold Yachtmaster II in that video, but the staff told me the thieves got it. Hopefully it was returned as part of this recovery.

I posted about this here about 3 weeks ago and thought at the time they will never catch the bums.

Glad they caught the person and recovered 4 of the pieces.

My q is what will happen now to the watches? Rolex won't take them back so will the store sell them as used (as they purchased them from Rolex already)? (Or will insurance just sell them to recover some of the payments they would have paid out?)

Who in the world doesn't know that the police work hand-in-glove with pawnshops?

He might as well have tried to sell it at the police station.

Wow, I was in that Ben Bridge on a recent business trip to Seattle two weeks before this happened. Gonna call the sales guy I dealt with and ask him for a big discount on that BLRO.

In all seriousness, what do you think happens to those watches?

Glad they got the scumbag.

Gresham is down the road from my work. BLRO would raise more than a few red flags. Thieves are rarely smart right?

That is amazing luck! Good thing you weren't in there when the thieves hit...

Good thing the police didn't say pawning a watch without all the boxes, and papers, is a Huge Red Flag...
