Rolex 16610LV or Deepsea

Hi Guys, having owned the Kermit M serial for many years and siting in my watch box most of the time. I’m having thoughts of trading for a deepsea black mark 1 for a change. Sorry I can’t have both for now so only can keep one and of course I get some $ back. I would like to seek advise on the pro and con on this diver and most important which to keep. Thanks and much appreciated.

Why aren’t you wearing the Kermit and what appeals to you about the DSSD? Both are great watches, so understanding what you are looking for will help in proving you with a view

Personally, I m not a fan of aluminium bezel LV.

I love the deepsea, especially the black dial..but it's too heavy for a daily wearer

Keep the Kermit otherwise most likely you will regret in future. I have early F serial and glad that I did not sell it away

I don't know about the rest of the world but there's a glut of preowned DSSDs regular version on my local ebay market and the cheapest Kermit is still US$2.5K more than the most expensive DSSD. That's food for thought!

The Deepsea is not for everyone.

I have one, Blackdial, in fact it’s now my only Rolex.

I wear it all day, everyday and can’t imagine life without it!

For my money, the best Rolex I have ever owned, and I have owned many!!!

I bought the watch to wear and use and don’t much care about rarity, investment value or any of that other business.

The negatives you hear so many people talk about with the Deepsea I simply do not find true.

But it’s a big watch and not everyone’s cup of tea.

Hope that helps.

Maybe it's the size (I have an 8" wrist) and/or shape of my wrist, but it fits like it was made for me...

any pics of how both look on your wrist? Personally I have found myself gravitating towards smaller, lighter watches, so I would say keep the LV. I had a deepsea briefly and it's the thickness that eventually made me decide to sell it.

Personally I'd pick the lv by a mile.....but seeing that it's been sitting in your box without wear and you see a watch you actually like/want to wear...why not just sell it for a profit and move on to something you'd enjoy? Seems fairly simple here.....why would you care how popular the LV is if you don't care for the watch?

Have you ever tried the Deepsea on? It looks like a really cool watch but I have heard from a lot of people that it is top heavy I personally don't know never tried one on. If you don't wear your LV then by all means trade it sell it I personally would let it go and get something that I would wear and enjoy.

This

I have a D-Blue and I love it. However, I'm not sure that I could live with it as an every day wearer.
