Question for owners of the 6-digit black model. Do you ever find that legibility is an issue? I just love this watch but every time I’ve tried it on it takes just a few moments too long to determine the time. I’m not sure if it’s the prominent GMT hand, the floating hour hand, or what, but I haven’t been able to get over this in the stores. Did anyone ever experience that initially and get over it quickly?

I would like to try on a 5- digit model, but I haven’t come across any at stores yet. It seems like the smaller GMT hand would alleviate this, but I’m extremely hesitant to buy without trying on in person.

I have to admit that legibility is sometimes an issue. Not a huge one, but at times it's a little hard to read. Especially when contrasted with my white Milgauss. I love the floating hands, but that definitely contributes to the legibility issues.

Finally, after years of looking at the white 216570 and debating between that and the 16570, I have a 216570 on the way. Should be here soon! Thanks for all the great inspirational pics. Should be a great travel companion to my GMT.

To be honest, no...l have the black and find legibility to be very good. And I have horrible eyesight.

But if it's an issue for you, though, you may want to check out the polar version.

Yes legibility for me can be a problem sometimes. The main problem is the thickness of the hands and the stealth effect. I notice that sometimes I have to check twice ....

Recently acquired, best wearing Rolex I’ve had to date. The 42mm size is perfect for me, and the slim lugs looks far better than the maxi-case subs.

Just got my polar last week and love it. Would love to add the black at some point also. The expII is the best under the radar Rolex.

Yup, my polar and BLNR make me happier than any of the 2018 Basel releases.
