Yeah it’s possible. But they can be a bit of a scratch magnet so you will need some wrist presence. In my opinion they’re best paired with one other daily with less polished surfaces.

Absolutely but
Scratches can be painful to look at on the 202, (they were for me.)
And the lack of 100 meter water resistance can be a concern in a daily routine.

Fantastic looking and super comfortable watch

As noted if you are either A) comfortable with some wear or B) Very careful then it’s a perfect daily. Actually better as a daily than in a rotation seeing as setting the date can be a drag.

Honestly, one of the largest reasons I am hesitant to getting one and hang on to my 15300. This would be terrible.....

Some people don't even set the date or time after it's runs out. More jewelry than a watch.

If I want to know the time I'll look at my phone.

I personally don't see why not.
As long as you're wrist aware, it shouldn't be too bad anyway.
I would do it, enjoy it for many years, and when it has one too many scuffs, lightly buff it during service.

Better as a daily. I love scratches.

Can be done... I don’t wear mine daily, but you could.

The scratches are more a function of your activities and how careful you are, than the watch I think.

Slow date set makes this better as a daily but then seeing no seconds every day would bug me as it is useful, so quite the quandary watch.

Surprisingly that never bothered me but the date setting did. Going in, I thought it would be the opposite.

I’ll admit as long as you wear it once a week or so the date setting is not so bad at all. It’s when you’re 2 weeks behind that it becomes

There is no quickset on the 15202. So you have to roll through the time to set the date. One day at a time.... sounds painful just typing it.

In todays society with people walking around in white sneakers avoiding grass and defining looking after the kids as a extreme sport you could sport a high complication Patek as a daily... With that said... People say that the AP movements are fragile but my experience is that they can take more abuse then I though was possible.

Thanks mate. I have only ever dealt with quick set dates so that does sound tedious.

Setting the date is indeed a pain, that’s why whenever I rotate to the 15202 I tend to wear for many many days, which in the end is not bad.

But since it would be your only watch, you don’t really need to worry about that.

Esp when it comes to cooking I like to know the seconds as well as timing sometimes needs to be very precise.

Not exactly.

The 202 movement is designed to set the date by "rocking" the hands back and forth from 10pm to 2am to set the date.

It is a bit easier than going completely around the 24 hours of the day.

The trouble I had with this was that the crown was small in relation to my fingers and this caused me to frequently and unintentionally push the crown back into the winding position while trying to set the date, I found this frustrating.

I am a huge fan of the 15202ST but frankly, adjusting the date for me is always PITA.

What I do now during my rotation is to wear the Jumbo when the date of the month is close to the date on the watch where it last stopped.

Quick question on the date adjustment on the jumbo. Does the date only adjust forward? Is there a way to adjust the date backwards?

For example, when I travel to a country that is 12+ hours ahead, I will need to adjust the date forward. Then when I come home, am I able to adjust the date backwards or do I have to adjust 30 days to get it corrected again?

I have done it but the worst part about the watch was the lack of the quick date setting

Date change might not be as arduous as feared....

full rotations aren't required... Often staff in stores don't even realise

So after a full turn
Start at about 1030 pm turn to 130 am
Then rock back to 1030
Then forward to 130
Repeat

Date gets changed much faster

That's what I am doing. However, it is still no fun to change from say 1st of the month to 20th of the month.

Really wish AP can improve the movement to give it a quick-set date while preserving the shape of the watch.

Yes but as noted above when you’re changing ahead 10-20 days the crown inevitably gets pushed back in then you have to pull back out etc.

After doing it a few times and then getting your paws on a triplock you will briefly question what the hell you were smoking dealing with that crown.

I wear a 5402 as my daily driver...The Cal 2121 has been around for 40 years and any problems that may have been in the past have likely been adressed. I wouldnt be at all concerned about wearing a 15202 daily, unless you're a diver or construction worker or the likes of that.....
