Interesting. I really love the alcantara. But I have blue rubber on pin buckle and shiny navy croc for when I want to change so covering all the bases.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Yes I had to put in some serious groundwork with the big boss to get the go ahead! Plus also buy about 50 pieces over the last 5 years!

Personal taste of course but I feel the straps on the ROO looks better with added texture be it the grooves in the rubber strap or even more so the contrasting materials and ridges that make up the GP strap.

I couldn't agree more. I really like the GP strap I now have on my RG44. Its not for hot weather though - its like having a thick leather jacket wrapped around your wrist!
