New daytona model 2016 with print default
Hello everybody,
I am new on this forum, i am living in Belgium and new happy owner of a Rolex. After almost one year of patient i finally get my new Daytona, in an Official Rolex dealer. Now I need your advise. After carefully looking the precision work of my Daytona, with magnifying glass, I discovered that the "S" of COSMOGRAPHE was not correctly printed. I made a call to the dealer, he said to me that i am an happy owner of special Daytona due to this exceptional "default". But he says, two option If you want we can send the watch in warranty to the manufacture for correction or exchange. What do you think?? should i keep it or go for warranty or exchange. I am afraid that my Dayton, will have less value due this default. In annex picture |

Go for a warranty exchange now.
Or wait until first service? Welcome to the Forum.

Definitely rare and maybe worth a lot of money in the future, like a stamp with a misspelling. Or not.

I would send it in. We’re not talking about printed currency with a unique flaw. It’s just a dial

When I see all the comments so far, we have two team, one with "replace" and one "keep it".
The two groups have a point. Interesting. :) :) |

Not an “exceptional” defect, just and unsightly defect. Replace it.

I would definitely keep it. Unless your extremely OCD. You have what could make it even more valuable when you part with your beautiful watch. You said you noticed it while using a magnifying glass.

Congratulations on your purchase! I’m surprised that passed QC checks ar Rolex. I wouldn’t hesitate to have that replaced.
Best of luck. |
