I agree with you that it was handled poorly. His "reaction" did take me by surprise, and later he told me how sick he was of the constant daily inundation of walk-ins and phone calls looking for the hard to get models, and their constant reference to the nicknames. (Again, he does not like the nicknames, but that is just who he is. Sort of an "inflexible" type.)

Knowing him for a long time, the reaction sort of startled me at the moment. At first I thought he was joking, but then realized he was a bit put off. Later on after thinking about it, I wondered if this was simply on his part due to the daily stress. That could account for the poor reaction on his part. I guess anyone, no matter their level and experience, can go sour about certain things.

I too ask "why not pink and orange!"? It makes perfect sense to just grab ugly colors and throw them on the dial like this Instagrammer did.
