Rolex Submariner lume video

Hello everyone, first post here!

Here is a short video of the lume on my fathers two tone Gold/Stainless Submariner. The watch I believe is from 1993 and has some scratches and chips around the bezel (but gives it character!!!).

The lume is holding up pretty well. My dad got it a few years ago (purchased used) and was serviced just before purchase. It will be due for another service soon. Anyone have an idea on the cost of a replacement bezel?

I myself recently acquired a Rolex Date (Ref. 15210) as my first watch, I love it!

Anyway, just wanted to share, have a great day everyone!

I thought Subs from that age were using tritium, but I notice it doesn't have the "T<25" at the bottom of the dial. My Sub is a W series (circa '94) and it is a T<25 model. That would be amazing illumination for tritium that old if the dial is all original. The lume on my 16610 is basically nonexistent at this point.

Do you need to charge the lume first or will it glow like that if it's been sitting in a dark draw all day and you take it out when the room's dark?
