Easter weekend fun: sedna FOIS

I've gushed over this watch in a couple of other members' threads, and this weekend I finally tried it on. Damn. This ticks every box for me. It is the new grail, and would be on my wrist this very moment were it not for other priorities for the foreseeable future.

I know it doesn't get a lot of mention in the Speedy world. And the RG places it even further away from its heritage. But dammit, I don't care. I'm not afraid to admit it. It's purely man jewelry for me, and I love it.

Mrs. Yoda and I went to the OB to drop off her watch for service. While there, I tried on the steel FOIS and the sedna FOIS. While I did like the steel, the panda dial was the end game, end of story. I am absolutely terrible with my poker face, and if I were in a position to buy at that moment, the OB probably could have firmly gotten full MSRP from me. Then Mrs. Yoda comes up behind me holding this:

I don't judge. She likes what she likes. In any case, IMHO it is beautiful and matches her style. However, if she decides to get that, then I have some leverage to get the sedna FOIS, which actually costs less.

I have to agree the Gold FOIS is a stunning watch. This post is one of the few that makes me appreciate my wife having absolutely no interest in watches whatsoever
