Photokina!!
Loads of new stuff... some announced, some yet to be announced.
Nikon D90 Canon 50D Canon 5D replacement (teaser site is up, but no details yet) It looks like we're about to witness a second massive leap from Canon. They made one a number of years ago when they left the competition squinting to see the mark they needed to aim for. All have pretty much caught Canon, but it's looking like the juggernaut is poised to spring yet again into territory the others can't easily get to anytime soon. The combination of the new sensor designs and Digic 4 looks unbeatable. Perhaps what I'm anticipating the most - seeing some actual product from Olympus on the MICRO Four Thirds system... http://www.four-thirds.org/en/microf...l#SlideFrame_5 It looks like incredibly hot technology. Apparently, Samsung is working on similar stuff with APS-C sized sensors. |

At less than four frames per second I cannot use the 5DII.

It's not for firing off hundreds of shots per minute, but many professional sports photographers used the original 5D for postgame shooting, etc... It does have 1/8000 sec shutter speed.
Just out of curiosity, what type of shooting do you do? |
