I love it! The beauty is in it's simplicity. Once they get out there in the pre owned world, I'll be sure to pick one up. Congrats

Beautiful indeed, I quite like that dial!

Congrats!

These really are fantastic divers, and the upgrade to the c. 1315 movement is welcome indeed (the silicium balance spring allows for a display back while retaining the antimagnetic properties required to meet ISO 6425 standards for a dive watch; it also improves isochronism).

Mine says hello:

I actually have to force myself to wear this watch less because I'm neglecting the other pieces in my collection, that's how taken I am with it.

And while I opted for the now-discontinued ceramised titanium version (it proved to be too difficult and expensive to work with), man I LOVE that meteor grey dial on your steel Bathyscaphe:

"Mesmerizing" just barely begins to describe it.

Regards,
Adam

Is this a heritage version of an old model?
What does bathyscaphe mean?

It's meant to be evocative of the vintage Bathyscaphe, in that it incorporates elements from several previous versions' designs, however to my eyes, it looks completely modern.

As for the word "bathyscape", it refers to a deep-diving submersible, along the lines of the Trieste, et al.

Adam

As time goes on, I get more interested in watches such as these, as opposed to the new stuff from Rolex. I think it's an ominous sign for Rolex.

Don't lose sleep over it mike. It likely says more about your taste evolving than Rolex.
