Rolex Oyster 18K solid Gold
Hi everybody
I am a newbie in Rolex vintages watches. Got offered this Rolex 11623.8 , bracelet should be 63608. According to my researches this watch was never sold with blue dial and I think the clasp isn't the original one. Has anyone more information about this vintage Datejust? What would be the estimated price? The jubilee bracelet and clasp is in sold Gold. Thanks in advance! |

You got something wrong.
Reference number is not 116238. If it has a flat dial (not pie pan) it's ref. 16238 (if with sapphire glass) or 16018 (if with plexi glass). The bracelet looks like one from 1970s - 80s. 16238 should have one with concealed clasp, 16018 could have a clasp like Yours and both of them were produced with blue dials. If it has a doorstep dial (I can't see clearly on Your picture) and plexi glass - then everithing is ok - it's a ref. 1601 in full gold (made before 1978) and bracelet is from this model. |

The bracelet and the case should have numbers that will help identifying them. Also the fitment between the case and endlinks are poor.

"My bad" with that plexi on 16018 - mixed up my facts with regular Datejusts from that period (16013/14/30 etc).
On the other hand I'm pretty sure that many early 16018s can be found with bracelets without concealed clasp - not sure if it's a "factory set" thing but not a rare occurrence either. |

Rolex Oyster 18K solid Gold
He’s not selling - instead buying and wants input. From what I see maybe an older bracelet for a 40mm model like a GMT that’s been mated to a 36mm DJ head. The end links don’t appear to match the head’s radius. Appears to be a Rolex USA oval link Jubilee bracelet to me. But very hard to tell from those pics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
