I believe the Auction house was very skillful in marketing that watch. Many, many, VN veterans purchased the GMT or Sub at a PX (Post Exchange) during that time period. There are thousands out there. PX prices were in the $225-$275 price range depending on the year. I can think of at least 5 other guys I still know that have theirs.
