Guy was walking down a country road one day...
And he sees a sign that says, "Talking Dog - $50". Of course he's kind of curious, so he walks up to the farmhouse and sees the farmer sitting on the porch.
He says, "Hello, I saw your sign", and the farmer says, "A'yep, I saw you walking down the road. Figured you'd come over and want to see the talking dog. He's tied up out back, go on ahead and wander on back there." The guy walks around the corner and sees a dog tied to a stake by the barn. Before he can say a word, the dog looks up at him and says, "Howdy, I saw you walking down the road. Figured you'd out come on back and talk, many people do." The guy is completely flabbergasted. He's shocked. He says to the dog, "But how can this be?! How is it that you can talk?" The dog looked up at him and says, "Well, it all started when I was a puppy. My owner worked for the CIA - that's the Central Intelligence Agency - and he was involved in negotiating with the Russians. They'd leave me curled up by the fireplace, begin the negotiations, and then leave the room to take a break. I'd listen to the Russians (of course I speak Russian too!), and then at the end of the day, I'd go on back and tell the CIA everything the Russians said." "And that," he proudly said, "was how I contributed to the end of the cold war." The guy immediately runs back to the farmer, grabbing his wallet and hands the farmer $50. Then he says, "It's none of my business, of course, but why would you want to sell such a marvelous creature? This is the most amazing thing I've ever seen." The farmer leans forward in his chair, spits some tobacco on the ground and drawls, "Welp, First of all, that dang dog is a liar. He's never been out of the yard." lol. Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week. |
