Beautiful! I just bought one a few days ago. Same color dial. I'm very pleased with it so far. Nice size, weight, and oh so comfy. My 1st Rolex. Obvious quality. Exciting!
I took a ride into Manhattan Rolex today to have a link added as it was just a touch snug at maximum length on my large wrist. It's now perfect, and I must add that the customer service at the facility was superb. I'm officially a fan..... And a member.

The bracelet is smaller than some of the other models it seems. I have a 7.25in wrist here and it fit perfectly right out the box

I could possibly consider this my next purchase. I was never really drawn to the Oyster Perpetual line until this model.

I like how clean the dial looks on this watch. The only bummer i found was no ability to adjust the bracelet like others with diving extensions on them. It would be nice if they gave the bracelet an adjustable glidelock clasp like the subs have but that would probably raise the price quite a bit.

I wish the glidelock clasp was standard on all rolex watches come to think of it.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual 114300

You can adjust the OP clasp in the old fashioned way with the 3 hidden holes inside the clasp.

Not easy as the other clasps that are on pricier models but with some practice it isn't too bad.

It's an easy adjustment. Not sure why we need all these extra extensions and easy-links. Had these on a couple of previous 6 digit Rolex and never used them

Rolex hit a home run with this watch. I've been saying for quite a long time that the new DJ should have been 39mm instead of 40mm. It would have flew off the shelves. The 36mm would have been the new ladies DJ.

joe,

thank you for the amazing review, and congrats on your recent nuptials!

you love your great rhodium OP and you mentioned you also owned the (black?) aqua terra. as i'm currently considering getting one or the other (significant other has approved an acquisition of one), would love your thoughts, in brief, as to how the two compare(d) and why you chose the OP as your daily.

p.s.: great choice in vehicles too! e30/e34/e60 in our family.

Thanks!

The Omega is nice but we're already in our 3rd generation of Aqua Terra. They change it every few years, which if you're into that, cool, but if you like the tried and true rolex approach, it'll drive you nuts. Omega changes things all the time, rolex doesn't. The AT of today won't be with us in 3 years, but the OP39 will.

There is nothing revolutionary about the OP39 but like a lot of people have said, if it's you're only watch it's the one to get.

Wonderful review of a fantastic watch. I had been considering one of these for some time, but when I saw the post on here about the 1 Nov price rise (UK) I knew I had to buy that day, or forget the whole idea.

I was lucky that the AD had all three colours in stock - I had been leaning towards the blue but I was quite unprepared for how the rhodium appeared in the flesh. I love how the dial shifts from silver to black depending on how the light hits it. The blue markers are a fun touch too, quite subtle, and almost invisible in some lights.

This is a wonderful, elegant watch and so versatile - it just seems to "blend in" with what I wear and doesn't look out of place - I was a little concerned that it may appear too formal/dressy sometimes but it really doesn't.

Seeing the 10% hike a matter of days after my purchase was just the icing on the cake. But this is a watch I will never part with.

Here's mine..

There is a certain je ne sais quoi with the op39. Everyone screams "get the Explorer", but it sthe exact same watch. I'd rather have some color.

Glad you chose the rhodium. Btw, the full reference for this model is 114300DRSO. Thought I'd throw that in

Nice review. I'm new to the forum and new to Rolex. I purchased mine last Saturday and I can honestly say that I am over the moon with it
