His career was over the moment he got drafted by the Redskins. Cleveland and Washington DC are career killers for QB's.

Is there such a thing as a can't miss prospect in any sport, there have been a few, but it seems there have been a lot more busts than can't misses. I like Luck and he may yet be a champ but it takes so much more than just the physical and mental gifts to get it done and be successful. a competitive nature and stubborn determination for instance, and that can come off as cocky and arrogant to someone who doesn't know what's what.

Curious. If any of you were NFL GMs, just how important is 'personal character' when it comes to making costly draft decisions?

Concerns regarding domestic violence and various rape allegations are becoming more frequent in regards to draft selections and no GM wants to get stuck with a sociopath.

I think you have to draw the line somewhere. It's one thing to pick a self-destructive project and it's a completely different matter to select someone who hurts others. I think that's where I'd draw the line.

Trader Ted--he might end up with 32 7th round picks!
One does have to admire his ongoing commitment to avoiding physical, playmakers on defense.

Great question. Especially since Joe Mixom from OK just got drafted by the Bengals. See that video of him breaking the face of that female? Disgusting. We have all WANTED to punch someone in the face, male or female, but a 220 pound football player beating a 5'2" female?!?!?! I don't care how good a player or employee he is, I wouldn't want him in my organization.

Denver needs an upgrade or revamp of their O line so I'm on board with their first round pick. He brought his cute baby son on stage to which was cool.0

From what I heard last night, the NFL is thrilled with the events in Phila...the NFL has an option to have it in Phila again next year and I heard they were close to coming back again in 2018!

All I've heard is the media is saying it's been the most lively and entertaining draft ever!

They said that about Chicago last year.

Nothing overly special so far. Seahawks drafting mostly defense...guess they want that #1 D back. D is aging so I get it.
Little surprised as our offense was dismal last year at times and Wilson in running for his life most plays.
Maybe a run of late pick OL?

I guess it was a weak year for OL. Or so they say...

Drew Pearson was hysterical! I think the NFL could do so much more with the draft by shuffling the commissioner off to the side and letting the fans have more fun with it.

Hey, they got Vince Biegel out of the trade. Not bad.

Earl and Kam are getting hurt more often and Sherm wants out. I'd say they have a sense of urgency in the secondary.

No doubt about that. Just surprised they didn't go after a top prospect CB. Couple guys I really liked we passed on.
I will assume Pete knows what he's doing and found more value in the guys he picked. I only watch from my couch or the stands lol.
People underestimate the Hawks they are only a couple strong players from being back in the SB. If offense is even average they will do well this year.

When RG3 was injured and Shanahan allowed him to go back on the field, his career ended. Where was the team doctor who allowed that?

Exactly. No impulse control, and he is rewarded for it. Shameful.

Goodell should step down. It is very clear to everyone but him and his financial planner.

His career ended when he couldn't adapt to the NFL.

The 'read-option' offense was short-lived. Only Russell Wilson seems to have survived the adapting defenses. Colin Kaepernick and RG3 became dinosaurs.

Don't forget the owners hire and fire the commissioner. They apparently are very happy with him as NFL revenue grows.
