305 vs 389

So I'm seriously wanting a 389 and currently own a 305.
Looking for some outside feedback on both models.
Would probably flip the the 305 if I go for the 389.
Both 47mm titanium Subs.
305: all titanium, sapphire caseback, dot hour markers..
389: titanium case with ceramic inlay bezel, solid Ti caseback, hash hour markers, antimagnetic.
Opinions appreciated.....

389 is very cool but if its significantly more expensive than the 305 I'd stay put.

Although I wish the 389 had a clear caseback it still would be the winner for me. The ceramic bezel gives the 389 great contrast, wrist presence and imho sets it apart from all other panerai subs, none of which except the 389 have ever impressed me. Bronzo included.

See Nishants thread where he posted awesome pics of his 389. Its a gorgeous PAM.

The 389 may be my 2nd PAM. It's the perfect modern expression of the historical Panerai "mission" IMHO.

I like most things about the 389 more...aside from the changes to the dial. I prefer the dot hour markers over the batons...

Either way, I think what this thread needs is some pictures of the two watches :-)

389 for me, if my wrist could handle it.

Keep the 305. Save for the 389.
They can both easily coexist and I just love em both. 389, a bit more :)

It's a lot to give up (305, more money) for a sliver of ceramic, but if the heart wants what it wants....

i'd go for 389 if you've already seen one in person , which is amazing

I like the 389 just a tad better than the 305. In my opinion, I'd say save up for the 389 and keep the 305. I really think the two subs makes a good pair.

Good luck!

389 on the secondary market would be a good pickup...

389 for sure, the ceramic bezel is sweet!
