Post your Rolex find from Pawn Shops

Title says all. I'm curious as to the best find someone may have landed at a pawn shop.

Picture preferred but at the minimal
Model, year, and price.

It's been years since I've seen any besides the occasional Franken women's size. And there are alot of non corp. Pawn shops around here

I personally have never been to a pawn shop. Not sure if I'd trust I'd be getting an authentic or non-frankenwatch from one.

After being on the forum for almost a year, I heard all sort of nice finds at pawn shops across the world. Obviously, many of those finds are considered to be very lucky but similar to getting a pepsi it daytona, it's not impossible. The best deal I ever gotten anywhere are Canada goose sold for 20$ a piece and I purchased 7 haha

I don't typically buy Rolex watches from pawnshops.

But then again, I don't have to start any threads asking if my watch is authentic or not.

There is a pawn shop disguised as a jewelry store near my office and the local ADs usually direct their trade in customers there. I've seen them selling one or two months old watches for pretty good prices but can't say how things are nowadays since I haven't visited them for a couple of years.

I found an F serial Explorer at a pawn shop in Pasadena. It still had the green sticker on the case back and the laser-etched coronet was visible under their lighting. The guy was asking about $1.5k below what one would find on the forums. I wasn't in the market for an Explorer so I let it go. This was before all the recent hype in sport models.

I admire anyone who has the courage or even the knowledge to buy a Rolex watch from a pawnshop.
Our town local always have always two or three, but even with my newbie knowledge of 5/6 years, they always look ‘dodgy’ to me. e.g. they just don’t look like the Rolex ‘quality’ which I am familiar with.
