I wouldn’t sell the Jumbo. One of the most beautiful watches ever made in my opinion. Never fails to put a smile on my face.
Work on adding the watches you want |

The jumbo isn’t for everyone despite it being a classic watch. If you don’t wear it, then move it on for something you will actually use.
Unless you want to keep hold as an ‘investment’ of sorts to speculate on the resale price carrying on upwards. In which case your guess as to future pricing is as good as anyone else’s.

The Jumbo is a beautiful, classic watch and a grail for many (including me). However, I reckon I would always be too worried babying it for the reasons mentioned by Gus below (and he would know - he’s previously owned it and a 5711).
Both BLRO and Kermit are much more practical, durable and versatile watches. You’re less likely to baby them and you would actually wear them more often than the OP is currently wearing the Jumbo. Sure the 15202ST has been appreciating in value, but the Kermit has been increasing in value too (but probably not at the same rate). It’s enjoying the investment potential vs enjoyment of wearing a watch. Better for you to own the watch, rather than for the watch to own you. That’s my 2 cents worth. Quote:

The 15202ST is just as versatile and practical as Rolex. In fact, the 15202 is much more comfortable on wrist. Try to daily the 15202ST for a week instead ;-)

I'd personally keep the Jumbo.

I would not do that trade for all the reasons mentioned about, such a stunning piece. Assuming you are trading with a grey, I would rather wait and slowly add the the Rolex you like as and when you need!

Trade or not, just go for the watch(s) you want to put on your wrist every morning because at the end of it all, isn't that what its about? Value, collectability, etc should only be secondary.

5402/15202 is the most iconic and beautiful watch ever designed. Definitely a keeper. Add the Rolexes later.

Buy / keep what you will wear. That's what watches are meant for. To be worn and enjoyed. Not to sit in a safe hoping they will make you rich someday, because that will likely not happen.

So you are saying you want to trade the watch that created the luxury sports watches category for 2 watches that were originally just sports watches and now also considered luxury? Add to that the thinnest center rotor automatic movement for a long time to a mass produced workhorse?
I say no..never. I love both brands, but the Jumbo is much more special than the 2 Rolex you mentioned. |

If you are going to sell it now would be the right time. The economy is reaching the end of the most historic bull run in history - luxury goods all across the board (and very notably, watches) have increased in price as a result of the increased demand.
I'd move it now or hold for years. |

I would definitely keep the Jumbo. I don't wear mine every day but it is definitely one of my favorites. I keep it in a healthy rotation and would never consider selling it despite the current appreciation in value.

A Rolex is just a Rolex and two Rolexes don't make an Audemars Piguet. That simple. The Jumbo is the most iconic AP and the watch that changed the course of watchmaking in 1972. Therefore, the answer is NO.

I had the 202, it just doesn't fit my wrist well. Sold it and no regrets.

Jumbo is not for me personally as I prefer the balance of the dial on rhe 15400 and the second hands but in my view is a beautiful piece and at 39mm very wearable on any occasion. Dont sell unless for PP!

Depending on what else you have and wear.
As an only watch the jumbo is hard to beat, I sold mine because the non-quick set date drove me crazy. It took to much time to reset the date after wearing something else and the crown felt like It was going to break every time I wound it. But.. I would not trade it for those watches, only for something more special.

IMHO this is simple: the OP doesn't wear the watch!
So forget about values/investments and Genta's design. All of these are important to you but not the OP. Trade away if you are going to wear and enjoy the BLRO and the Kermit. I was facing the same dilemma with PP 5167 few months ago. Sold it, spent the money on the Hulk and SD4k. Loving and wearing both of them. |

The key question remains: why do you have the 15202 in the first place? If it's a trade tool for watches that you will actually wear, then make the trade if these are in fact watches you will wear. OTOH, if the BLRO and 16610LV are simply watches you are getting as future investment pieces, I would say keep the 15202. |

I think the rarest of Rolex is not as interesting a watch as the 15202
