I only have midnight blue MB ink, I use Pilot ink otherwise. I prefer black ink in general, the midnight blue is a really nice blackish blue.

Midnight blue is a great blue black ink I have it in my double broad heritage MB , I prefer German inks in my German pens and Japanese ink in my Japanese pens they just all seem to flow better all around , Pilot and Sailor make some lovely inks .

Sheesh!
It's not like you don't have enough to choose from! LOL!!!! If you have a blue / black, that is one of my favorite MB inks. If not, a blue is always good!

My Montblanc pens are vintage; a MB136 and a MB234 ½. The 136 puts down a wet line and works best with a dry ink. (Some inks are dry, and some wet.) I use Pelikan 4001 inks. MB inks might be really great, but my main concern is to turn down the wetness so I turn to a known dry ink. I don't like long drying times. I like to use Pelikan Brilliant Brown and Blue-Black.
Both inks I cut with Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Black. Both the same ratio; 3 parts brown or blue black mixed with one part black. If requested I can post an example of what the addition of black does. thanks

H here is a link which is for Upcoming Pelikan Hubs.
https://thepelikansperch.com/2018/06...018-announced/ It seems registration is closed as the 16th of July. So this years Hub is not an option. If you are around the city send a PM and we can meet for a coffee. Ralph
