I did not intend to do this, but it happened yesterday

In 2011, I purchased my fist Rolex. It was a stainless/gold Submariner, with blue dial & bezel. I loved the watch as it is a beautiful work of art.

Yesterday, I went to a local jewelry store to get my wedding ring polished. This store also happened to be a Rolex AD. For the past few years, I had been admiring the 18k gold submariner, but most dealers did not have one in stock. Well, unfortunately or fortunately, this dealer did. The store owner thought that I should try on the gold submariner. And it fit without any adjustments. Was this meant to be? 30 minutes later, I walked out with this:

Moral of the story: Never get your wedding ring polished.

Beautiful, congratulations. No offense intended to any fans of the so-called ‘Bluesy’ but I’ll take this YG and black Sub any day of the week. To my eye it’s actually a bit more discreet. Hope you enjoy it.

I walked into my AD last weekend and they had one and I tried it on and immediately loved it. I never thought id be a gold watch guy but damn it looked good on my wrist. I'm still recovering from my Deep Blue, Hulk, and Polar purchases all within 3mos a part, else I would have walked out with it. Congrats!

I'm surprised the anti-polish police haven't been by to lecture you on the danger of polishing your ring.

Congrats...awesome watch!

That's totally impeccable. I thought the smurf was my favorite PM sub. I'm gonna have to reconsider now.
