The original platona model with markers has a much cleaner and less cluttered dial than this one.

I appreciate it's not in the same legue but I added pic of a watch that does Hindi numerals just right, the Fredrique Constant Arabic Heritage Edition. Note the date subdials, the hour markers, and even the seconds markers are all in Hindi numerals. This makes for a very cohesive design and layout.

I agree it would have been better to have the sub-dials also in "arabic/hindi" ...

I can appreciate the uniqueness but the Daytona dial is already so cluttered and busy that it makes it more confusing, plus the fact that it's not fully cohesive, so it's not for me. Personally I think it's much better served on the DD.

Also quite surprised by some of the knowledge here, don't like it cuz you can speak and write in English... our language’s standard numerals like uhh 1,2,3,4 are already Arabic but go ahead and buy a watch with "English" numbers

Why isn't all the dial text in Arabic?

Why would they do this to a Platona. There is no model with corresponding Arabic numbers on the dial. They're either diamond baguettes or stick lumes. Seems like a cheap ploy to sell watches to the Arab population.

maybe because many of them don't wear gold in any color? So you have more Pt options

I'm glad Rolex can rescue people from hypocrisy. Offer Pt for those who feel gold is too lavish.

Exactly this!

These are actually very easy to find in the Middle East. Seen it with baguette diamonds as well.

They aren't easy to find at all, come to the Middle East and try at any Rolex dealer, very few are delivered, we dont know for how long.

Reminded me of the 6263 with such numerals, the "Arabian Knight" https://www.phillips.com/detail/ROLEX/CH080318/21

Yes exactly, this platona release is supposed to be a homage reissue of the "Arabian Knight". So, there is some history involved here. Nothing wrong with that and this will be a unique collector's item for people who are Daytona focused, I just find the dial busy for me personally.

So it's got Arabic numerals, and, er, Arabic numerals. That's confusing.

Too much going for me but why not? At least the numbers blend in. On the platinum DD the dark blue numbers have to much contrast for my taste.
