Steel Oyster Bracelet on Bluesy?

Hi guys, here's a wild one for you .... has anyone ever put a steel (not two tone) oyster bracelet on a Bluesy? I'm debating the merits of the Bluesy with a good friend and hes arguing that watch would be better on a brushed steel bracelet. I think he's out of his mind, but figured if it had ever been done, you boys would have seen it. Thanks to anyone who can share.

It’s been done before and doesn’t look good. Looks like a parts watch.

I did it, for about a minute and didn't like it. Looked weird. I do, however, have it on a blue rubber B. Looks great on this strap. Not so much on a SS bracelet.

I've never seen one, but just visualizing it in my head looks strange. If you're uncertain if you'd like a TT oyster bracelet, maybe consider a strap of sorts... Dark brown leather? We all know Submariners don't ever actually see water for fear of losing value or the impending doom of gasket servicing, so leather on a dive watch is a non-issue. It should be fine against spilled coffee on a desk, though. Just make sure the crown is wound to 100 Nm & the bezel is aligned with the sun because Mercury is in the microwave.

I don't think it looks good at all. Stick with the TT bracelet. Goes perfectly.

I do have a two-tone Tudor Chrono that I purchased on a Bund, but I put on the SS Tudor Bracelet and I think it *looks fine.

Also, here are some pics of Bluesy on SS Oyster. I don't think it's as awful as some others "Visualized" without actually seeing it.

*Save the comments to always buy on a bracelet. I didn't like the two-tone bracelet on this model.

To me, the Tudor in this case works - the Bluesy, not so much.

Blusey is a classic. In my opinion, you can’t improve on what is a beautiful watch.

Yes. I did when I wore out the original bracelet to the point I was concerned of failure.

It looks great.

At the time a replacement bracelet was close to 3k for a watch that cost 5k 20 years before.

In my eyes it’s a total mismatch

The Bluesy needs the TT bracelet, for sure. It’s a stunning piece, as designed.

Strangely, I like going SS with my GMT 16713… the black and gold are a bit strong. Not wrong, but I like taking it back into the tool watch realm a little.

For the Bluesy however, the blue and gold work so perfectly together that I think the SS oyster looks like a mismatch.

It’s fun to try things though. Sometimes to create “not just another ____ “ in the case of the Bluesy, it’s already quite unique and hardly plain.

I like it both ways depending on the occasion and what I'd be wearing at the time. Looks better on the steel than I thought it would, thanks to both for the pictures.

The SS bracelet looks better in the pictures than I would have imagined. The two tone bracelet looks better though.

Not my choice, unless you swap the bezel for a SS one, and the crown.

Then, of course, you have a blue dialed Sub Date.
