Rocketship at the far left subdial, for one.
Would've made the piece nearly as desirable as the Snoopy. Cheers, Ben |

I wish too we could have a rendition of what it was supposed to look like, but I doubt that anybody will be willing to post it from fear of legal consequences... May be an off line discussion with Robert Jan?
Heritage of this comic character is mismanaged... Sorry to say. |

I did see a picture of the prototype on another watch forum. It might have been an "artist's" rendition, but either way, it looked so much better than the production model.
Such a serious disappointment. I think the Speedmaster benefits from a bit of color, but the checkerboard dial just looks like a bullseye to me. It's why I keep my eyes peeled for a 3570.40 Japanese Special Edition. Great color on the dial, but the hesalite and 1861 movement as well. Cheers, Ben |

I should add that - to the best of knowledge - the deal between the Tin Tin artist/estate representative apparently fell through, which is why Omega never actually references its origin. And why a complete dial never made it to production.

I understand that the case back had a picture of Captain Haddock, Tintin (one word) and Snowy in their space suits on the moon.
Not sure if I missed something in translation but it sounded like the picture was behind exhibition glass (as opposed to the Snoopy embedded in enamel). Would love to see a picture or sketch. |

Would have been very cool
The Alaska edition has the rockets for sub dial hands which is pretty cool too. |

a lot of speculation has surfaced on what the reference to Tintin would have been but we have to limit it to the Fratello article which is the only one where someone claims to have seen it - and the reference is a print on the dial at 11'o'clock assumed to be the rocket
A rocket on one of the subdials would have been cool too but there is no evidence of this. |
