Icon5 5712/1A + cash for...

I was offered a new 2019 Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon, which has a msrp of 100k.

I can get that watch by trading my 2019 5712/1A plus about 25k USD.

Yes or No?

Nope. VC you should probably be getting at a huge discount and based on market values of the 5712 it should be a straight trade, or you should be getting cash your way. VC would be a lot harder to liquidate too. That aside, I am simply not an Overseas fan, way too big and clumsy compared to the Nautilus.

Please don’t- you will regret it! That piece should sell at a big discount .Yours is worth at least 70 in a fire sale so you are paying at least 95 for a piece that will be impossible to resell. It’s only a two hander besides! How will you know the phase of the moon? Not only that , the overseas ordinary looking imo. Please don’t do it. :-(

Sounds like the dealer or SA needs to be giving you cash not the other way around. That VC is probably a 30-40% off piece eventually.

Cant you get a AP RO Tourbillon for under 100k? Id go for one of those over VC but i wouldn't trade a 5712/Nautilus for one

Why are people so quick to say you can get it at a discount? Normal Overseas yes but that's a very limited production.

AP RO tourbillon is nice but it needs manual winding. This Overseas tourbillon is automatic and thus the tourbillon movement is supposed to be one of the nicest..

IMO, I would say why not... you pay 40K for 100K watch. And the Nautilus hype will not up forever.

And that Tourbillon Overseas is good looking watch.

No way Jose, I would not swap a private brand such as PP for a richemont brand such as VC. Personal opinion.

No, you'd be paying over MSRP for the VC.

The 5712 goes for $80k+ these days, and you should receive a nice discount on the VC, as nice as it is.
