I was also wondering if you had any paperwork on the watch. If you have the certification I think it would at least have a country code the watch was shipped to.
If only Rolex would only open an office to offer extracts of the archives like some others do. |

Awesome! I've never seen anything like this before.
Regarding the Middle Eastern military Rolex watches, I am guessing that they were given to the officers (and maybe just the high ranking officers?) and not the foot soldiers, but can anybody confirm? |

Yes I agree I don't see every soldier receiving one of these. would be good if someone more educated around these dials popped in and could give us some more detailed info. |

A few years ago, I saw the same exact dial (not in the watch). Within the last few years, it must have found its way into the above GMT...
Long story short, I past on it in due to its unsure provenance. King Hussein I' signature and initials do not seem to match. It almost looks Farsi. Can you take a close up of the dial? |

Justin, does your friend contend that the dial and the rest of the watch were "born" together, as an all original piece? I think I'd have a lot of questions for him.

Ah, gotcha. I was just going off of your original post mentioning that he'd had the watch for many years. I didn't realize that he told you he put that dial into a different case.

Unbeluevable that someone recognized and REMEMBERED seeing the dial and has a picture. What are the chances?!?!? Great thread.

It reads like you said many years..
All it matters is that you are happy with the watch...and the story... |
