Glashutte Original Senator - pop while winding

Hi all,

I was just winding my GO Senator (long out of warranty) and while winding, it popped. Won't wind anymore unfortunately. I assume the mainspring is toast, and I am petrified of the Swatch service center cost. Anyone have any experience using a 3rd party who either has done great work on a GO before or might be someone to reach out to?

Thanks much!

It may not be a mainspring, although I've seen a mainspring repair, and it's not a mind bending operation.

It might be the crown stem broke? Hopefully, nothing wrong with the gear teeth or escapement.

The real concern I would have is why a mainspring or crown stem might have broken. Are the gears seized up, if so, why? Did teeth on the gears break, if so why?

That kind of stuff is probably what GO will look into beyond a part that needs replacing.
