I’ve hit that age where I split a steak with my wife rather than finish my own and eat what’s left of hers. That means my photos can’t hide it if I overcook the meat now too.

It’s cold here in Denver and I had some leftover pulled pork, so I made posole.

I absolutely love splitting steak with my GF and it has become our standard operating procedure.

I am a Sous Vide Steak master and your steak looks like medium-rare perfection to me!!!

We decided to continue a Christmas Eve tradition of my late father tonight. He always made seafood gumbo using the Commander’s Palace recipe on Christmas Eve. It is chocked full of seafood and is outstanding. Miss you dad.

We had our traditional Danish Christmas Eve dinner of my wife's crispy duck, sugar glazed potatoes, red cabbage and gravy. Duck was very good, moist inside.. We started with the traditional Risengrod pudding with butter and cinnamon...and the hidden almond for the Mandelgave gift...All complimented with some nice wine of course....

Sounds amazing. I’ve never done duck for Christmas but love the thought of it.

Today’s Christmas food memory - a twist my mother did on pecan pie long ago - chocolate chip, bourbon pecan pie. And yes, it’s pe-con, not pe-can!

One of my favorites..when available. I've also had it grilled...which is quite good too.
