Introducing "Sunny" who's 9 weeks old today

We lost Jason, our last golden retriever, in February at age 12. The house has seemed empty since he died. Yesterday, we brought home our new puppy, Sunny, and he is adorable.

Great idea! After Jason passed in February, I bought several custom quartz watches with his photo on the dial for friends and neighbors who knew and loved him.

OK Sunny, here’s the deal.

You’ll be asked to pose for a picture with some things that emit a strange sound. Something your DNA signals you is sounding alternately like a cricket, or a lizard, or an alien being. Very high Fq.

But mostly it will look like a coiled something or other. Or a baby alligator lying down.

Be not afraid - Stan will make sure it’s safe. Just smile and relax - a treat will surely be along.

Heh heh... So far, his favorite chew toys seem to be my fingers, but I don't mind and I don't think he feels guilty about it.

My neighbor caught us on our walk yesterday and took this snapshot. This pup is turning out to be easy to train. He's good on leash, poops and pees on the absorbent pad in his enclosed space, and is quick to understand 'come', 'off', 'stay', and recognizes his name.

My fingers are his favorite chew toys.
