Vacheron Overseas Bracelet micro adjustment

I literally just learned about this last night.

If you tug on the bracelet by the clasp you can on each side gain about a mm then just push it back if needed. No buttons to push or release...just pull and push...soooooo simple.

Blew my freakin mind...I had no idea.

It's the same on all overseas bracelets.

That's so awesome. Any chance that continuous use of that mechanism will loosen the friction force over time?

I could be wrong, I thought it was 2mm per side. It's a nice feature anyway.

The total length gained for me is a half-link's worth.

Is it weird to say that this has made me more aware of my body? Smaller wrists in the morning, thicker during the day.

It’s a nice feature and it works really well. It feels very solid, and is much easier to enact that the Rolex 5mm option

In addition to the micro adjusts on both sides, VC includes a 1/2 link for just the right fit.

It is a great system. Mine was extremely stiff, to the point I asked friend with the same model if I was missing something in simply pulling it - was there a hidden release only known to the VC owners secret society? After working with it a while, it's fully functional if still a little tight. In the end it is a friction system, but I could never see it loosening to the point of repair or replacement given the tight tolerances that is the epitome of VC craftsmanship. In absolute terms, if we all live to be 100, how many total times does it get pulled out? Not many.

Another great thing about the way it works is when it's out the overall aesthetic of the bracelet isn't notably changed. it's still as gorgeous as ever from a visual standpoint, almost to the point you can't tell (pics below). I've only owned my VC for a couple weeks, but after owning maybe 25-30 Rolexes, as well as several JLC and IWC, there's no question the VC is the top of the top in terms of craftsmanship. And that's in full recognition of the fact I've found Rolex to be one of the finest watches made at any price, despite the Rolex haters out there.

First pic is with micro-entension in and second is out.

All links including those are orderable/replaceable should that happen.

Anything that moves wears out in time.

Rolex's haters are not objective. In the steel price range, these are the best watches. I am very open to all brands, but there is just no discussion...

And for VC, it is certain that it is very much above, with the hand finishing side, caliber included.
This is to say how amazing VC watches are.
The Overseas in particular is a great success, and I am delighted to finally receive mine (about 6 months of waiting list).

It's the same on all overseas bracelets.

FYI it's on Gen 3 not Gen1 & 2.
So not all Overseas bracelets
