Morning all- I’ve spent a couple of hours googling this but wondered if anyone had any first hand experience of how much duty / vat etc would be charged importing a grand seiko from Japan to the uk. Say the watch was £3000, I assume you’d get an extra charge of vat at 20% and duty? Duty is 2.5%? So total fees would be in the region of approx £700? Is that about right? Any help appreciated!!

Pretty much. I find that Japan is generally not underpriced, and most savings get eaten up in taxes. Best bet is to go there…
