Las Vegas Restaurant Recommendations

Hey all,

I will be meeting up with about 14 other folks at SEMA in about a month from now and I am in charge of dinner thursday night.

I'm looking for dinner recommendations for a group of 15 people with a budget of $50 per person. We used to make reservations at buffets on the strip but most of the buffets are closed now for dinner.

Does anyone have any good recommendations that are close to the strip OR at old downtown and around our price range? Thanks in advance!

Edwin

$50 per person will be tight. Obviously, make a reservation. There are literally hundreds of great choices.

Amalfi at Caesars is new.
Nobu (with a bigger budget)
Carbone
Milos

Budget friendly:
Carmines (dishes are served family style)
Rao’s

Matteo's inside the Venetian for handmade pastas should fit your $50 budget easy.

If you start branching off and fully loading the meal, you'll naturally blow past that easy too.

50$ is gonna be tough...

maybe try Maggiano's in the fashion show mall...
El Dorado Cantina which is connected to Sapphires Gentleman's club.
Golden Steer on sahara
Circus Circus Steak house
there are a bunch more, obviously... but give me an idea of the type of food you are looking for. $50/plate is at the bottom of the current sit down dinners.
all those suggestions above are GREAT places to eat at fairly reasonable pricing and a couple of them have old school vegas vibe... ALL will be crowded as heck during SEMA

A really inexpensive place near the strip is Batitsta’s. It’s an older Italian restaurant not far from the Lynk

One other thing to keep in mind re: budget is transportation. If you can’t eat near where you and the clients are staying, you will have to shell out to drive them around if they aren’t meeting you there.

Lyft and Uber were in much shorter supply than years past when I was there the first week of September.

Happy hour pricing at Herbs & Rye would be a good choice.

Always a must go every time we’re in town.

One of my friends stays at the Cosmo often, so she recommended Scarpettas. She said to ask for a table with a view of the Bellagio fountains. We did just that before Labor Day, and enjoyed it. The food and service were great, and the price was relatively reasonable (for Vegas standards).

She also recommended Beauty and Essex, and Cut at Pelazzo, but we didn’t go.

Thanks... I'll check out Batistas. Good point on transportation. Most of us are staying near the Aria so hopefully it'll be around there. We have a few folks renting cars so we plan on cramming everyone as best we can.

Thanks... for SEMA 2018, we did Maggianos in the fashion show mall. Crowded and loud but not bad for a large group. Def a great option but wanted to try something else. Sema 2019 we did Wicked spoon. A little over $50 but extremely easy to manage a big group b/c it's a buffet that can cater to many different cravings.

At that price point, we are aware that we're not going to get top quality food but hoping for "good" food and good ambiance. I looked at Carmines and seems pretty good. I was also thinking Buca Di Beppo but we have that in Texas. Please keep them coming! Btw, if anyone knows a good buffet that's serves dinner (other than Bacchannal) on the strip, please let me know as a lot of buffets seem to only serve breakfast/lunch now.

$50 is hard on the strip for a really good meal. I'd suggest Mon Ami Gabi at Paris, I've never been disappointed.

I didn't know Mon Ami even served dinner. good to know... I've gone there a handful of times for breakfast and was also never disappointed. Have you had their dinner menu? Prices seem very reasonable

I've only been there for dinner. Goat cheese appetizer is a must and all the steak cuts that I've tried were great.

Carmines can also give you your own space for a group.
As for transport it is in Caesars forum. You can technically take a tram from Aria to Bellagio and walk over to Caesars. It’s easy if you are familiar with center strip. If you aren’t: Tram stops by Bellagio spa tower so you have to walk across the resort and there is a walkway to Caesars, then you have to walk across Caesars. It’s a bit of a hike but all indoors and good scenery.

The Goleden Nugget food is mediocre and inexpensive, but worth the experience of Old Vegas. It definitley has a vibe.

There are so many great places to eat on the strip, one of my favorites it Strip House in Planet Hollywood, (and I don't eat steak).

Been many times, might be slightly out of your price range but highly recommend Scarpetta and Carbones.

Carbines is the best Italian on the strip IMHO but no way you are under $50 pp on a client dinner there.
