I’ve had one since they went stand alone on the cellular, it became really useful for running/riding. Although even then I’m still double wristing as it does not have the same capabilities as a true sports computer (Garmin etc).
I find the Apple Watch less distracting as opposed to more distracting (or too connected is the common complaint). I don’t bring a phone if I have the watch and so I’m therefore not wasting time on IG or aimlessly scrolling. |

I just got a whoop for sleep and athletic tracking.
Very easy to wear double wrist and I find the data is actionable. It's led me to space my caffeine/stretching/meditation/alcohol out quite a bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Not a fan of Apple or any of the products they produce. Different discussion. If you want an Apple watch, go for it. I enjoy watches from a lot of brands and some of my digital G-Shocks are the most enjoyed. Everyone in my immediate family has one and seems to enjoy the watch.

thanks again everyone!
Your thoughts on the topic are interesting and well informed.
If I get an Apple Watch, I don't think I would double-wrist it. I think that sometimes I would want to see a beautiful storied mechanical marvel on my wrist, and sometimes I would want to see on my wrist the time, date, weather, and other info that I'm too lazy to reach for my phone to look up. Best wishes, all! See you at the AD and maybe the Apple store sometime! |

I think they’re really cool little devices. I’ll never buy one only because I know I’ll never give up my limited wrist real estate to a non-mechanical watch. Also, the ringer on my iPhone is always off, and I have all notifications turned off. Being notified of things annoys the shit out of me, the watch would likely drive me crazy.
But it’s strange, as I love both watches and technology. Hmm... Anyway, go buy one! |
