Turns to fully wind ?

As I picked my new weekly wear watch for today ( Ulysse Nardin Marine ) I started to wind and wind and wind and it seemed to take the power reserve indicator a long time to get fully wound and I remember asking this question before so to see what the maker said I went to there site and apparently for UN Marine Torpilleur it takes 150 turns to fully wind and this got me thinking which is dangerous .......

Anyway for all you more experienced gents out there does a watch have to be fully wound to start off the week with ? I rotate every week and wear several brands from Rolex to Ulysse Nardin and my Rolex seems to be fully wound at 50-60 turns but the UN takes 150 so is there a happy medium ?

An automatic watch will only maintain as much wind as you put into it each day with your activity. It will always run down to only that.

That number is frequently way less than a full wind, so winding your watch fully is not getting you anything for the effort.

So with that said winding my UN Marine the 150 turns for the full 80 hrs of power is a moot point if I wear it everyday for 8-10 hrs during that week of wear, I know I will lose some of that reserve during off the wrist time and even low activity while on the wrist so maybe I should just give each watch I choose to wear just 30 or so turns of the crown and enjoy it for the week
