How to spot a fake PAM

Dear All,

I want to buy a PAM210 from local pre-owned market,
but as i know there are lots of replicas also come with Swiss made ETA 6497,
so how can i tell the difference between Fake or Real when they all use the same movement ???

Please advise, thanks !!!!

Regards
Anthony

I have a Pam 231 with that movement and also a watch with a basic 6497 movement. The difference under my loupe is chalk and cheese as the Pam movement has been 'blueprinted' and the difference in the finish to all the gears etc is obvious. Unfortunately this might require a comparison of the movements that may not be available to you.
If you can post up pix of this watch and movement we can advise you.

I was sold a fake and my AD didn't spot it when I took it in for a quick verification.

A member here noticed via the pics of the movement though, so if possible, post pics. Very sad that this happens.

Rule !:

Buy the seller.

It's not worth losing sleep or hard earned money buying something you have reason to doubt or believe that it may not be authentic.

Have it checked first any honest seller will agree with authentication first before the sale can be done
