Oh... now I get it......

So I'm mainly a Rolex guy. Fairly obvious since I'm here on TRF I suppose. I've had a couple of Omegas but generally Rolex is what floats my boat.

Well I recently became Panerai-curious. It felt a little dirty but I liked it. Haha.

Anyway, this arrived today and wow, it's beautiful. No pictures seem to do these justice. It is just stunning in person.

Strap is very stiff but I guess if I only wear this watch for the next month or so that should take care of itself!

Seriously... I definitely was NOT just looking at 312s. Not me. Nope... haha.

Congratulations from a convert. When you do get it, you get it! OEM Straps do soften, but then you could look at the 4000 strap makers!!

Yeah I kind of have a strap fetish anyway but you get so much hate if you put a rolex on one! LOL

LOL - probably have twice as many straps as this now....

As opposed to 312 look at something manual as a future partner.

Welcome & congrats!! Time to shop for straps. :-)

Panerai and Rolex go great together, for many reasons. Enjoy!

Nice!

I've owned four Pams in the past, great watches and very fun to play around with straps.

I love it! Mind me asking what strap is on the watch in the center?

It's from Bakeka Straps "SOFT CALF STRAP, 24/22  75/125"

I've had a few straps from Alfio, they are beautiful and great value. Drop him a note https://bakekastraps1.wordpress.com/watch-straps/

Welcome to the Dark Side. Be warned, now you've got your first one it's a slippery slope to the next.

You need to be especially aware of that naughty Mr. Jones (our Panerai Enabler-in-Chief) and his principal henchman Nick. If Nick posts THAT picture, you'll be on your way to the boutique for a 372 before you know what day it is

Here's one of Alfio's (Bakeka) straps. They get even better with age.
