Tourneau West Palm Beach,FL opinions

I'm helping out a friend with his first Rolex purchase,he's 100% virgin about it. He has found a 214270 at Tourneau in West Palm Beach but giving the disgusting experience I've had at Tourneau in Las Vegas some years ago I think it may be wise to recover as many feedbacks as possible...

I was in that location once and enjoyed looking around. If no AD is going to offer a discount on the watch I would buy it from them as much as any other AD.

You could hit DavidSW's store in Orlando. Might be worth the trip.

Do your research and see if he is getting a fair price on the watch he is buying. Is it complete with box, papers, etc. My experience with this company is poor and I have been in several over the years and the reviews here on TRF are almost always bad. Go to Chrono24 and research the price of the watch and then look at our Trusted Sellers. You will be more pleased in dealing with a Trusted Seller than that company.

Can’t comment on them. I have used Hamilton in WPB and have had good experiences.

Checking in with DavidSW is a good idea, especially since it's nearby. I bought a Rolex from him and everything about the experience was positive. I've also been to Tourneau/Palm Beach and found staff to be very pleasant and helpful. I stopped in last summer to get a pressure test for the Rolex I was wearing, and it was done quickly at no charge. I wasn't buying but enjoyed browsing and friendly conversation while I waited. I personally would consider a purchase there if DavidSW couldn't get the watch I wanted or if pricing with him was higher for some reason (unlikely?).

Know that Tourneau has been owned by Bucherer for almost a year now, from memory. Hopefully those with poor experiences from some time ago would find things quite different currently.

I looked since I was curious about the 4 watches at DavidSW mentioned above -- and if your friend wants a new watch, it appears (with taxes in figured at AD) both sources are comparable, maybe a few $hundred higher at Tourneau unless DavidSW is open to a lower price. If prices aren't widely different, based on my very good, pleasant experience at Tourneau/Palm Beach, I'd probably buy there, "closer to home," since it starts a good relationship for potential future purchases, minor service issues (water resistance testing), etc. Obviously, just my thoughts based on personal experience -- as I noted earlier, too, DavidSW is great.

Just FYI, I'm referencing personal experience at Tourneau on Worth Avenue/Palm Beach -- not another Tourneau I think might be in West Palm Beach (haven't been there).
